Build Authentic Connections in Our Church Community

First Presbyterian Church is a community centered on authentic connections with God and each other. We are committed to knowing each other deeply, even though our diverse church community comes from many walks of life and holds contrasting opinions on many issues. We are clear about our center: Christ’s grace holds us together in the bonds of love.

We love people, developing relationships, and making connections both within our congregation and beyond. We want everyone, from children to elders, to feel this is a place where they belong and are known. Our groups promote connections and fellowship. We encourage you to find your place with one of the small groups listed below.

Presbyterian Women

Presbyterian Women (PW) is an important part of the ministry of First Presbyterian Church.  Members of PW have the unique opportunity to nurture their faith, support mission, work for justice and peace, build community, and develop leadership skills. PW gatherings are held quarterly and provide members a time for fellowship, programs, and service.

Circles (see below) meet once a month for Bible study and use the popular Horizons Bible Study written for PW. Bible study, fellowship, and sharing prayers provide a common bond and knit Circle members together. Special events include Summer Mission Coffee, Adams Bake Sale, Adams Scholarship(s), Gifts of Women Sunday, and Honorary Life Membership. All women in the congregation are invited to join Presbyterian Women. Points of Contacts: Judy Rops and Angie Nelson (co-moderators)
