Middle School Mission Stay

Summer 2018
Middle School Mission Stay
July 26-29

The Middle School Mission Stay is an opportunity for middle school students to connect, serve, and grow within the church and the greater Sioux Falls community!

We will be partnering with several organizations and congregation members over four days to make an impact in the community and be the visible face of Christ. In addition to the service we will be involved in, students will also be able to take part in several fun activities on Thursday and Friday, a camp-out at church on Saturday night, Random Acts of Kindness with the FPC congregation on Sunday.

What we love about the MSMS is the flexibility it offers where mission trips don't. If you have to miss a day, that's fine. Need to leave early or come late, no problem! If you can be a part of this mission, we want you here!

Registration and a one-time $75 fee is due July 1st. It can be turned into the front office.

In His Steps: Jerusalem, A Roadblock to Peace

In His Steps: Pathways of Peace
with Dr. Timothy J. Schorn JD, PhD
presents Jerusalem, A Roadblock to Peace
(IHS Monthly Gathering)

Jerusalem is a city holy to three major religions and desired as a capital by two peoples. It is also one of a number of issues that is preventing a permanent peace settlement between Israelis and Palestinians. The recent announcement by President Trump changed 70 years of American policy and set the United States against most of the international community. Prof. Tim Schorn will discuss the place of Jerusalem within the context of regional and international politics.

Dr. Schorn is USD Associate Professor of Political Science, Director International Studies Program, Director, MA in Political Science.
