May Update

Our Maundy Thursday potluck on April 2nd was a beautiful evening of community and worship. Approximately 12 people gathered to share a meal, remember the Last Supper, and reflect on Christ's love. During our dinner, we moved into a meaningful time of Communion, accompanied by our praise band, whose music helped center our hearts for Holy Week. It was a night filled with gratitude, fellowship, and a deep sense of God's presence as we traveled toward Easter together.

We continue to support Laundry with Love through the generosity of the Good Samaritan Fund.  Our Deacons have approved $500 for new undergarments and $140 for laundry pods, helping us care for our neighbors with dignity, comfort, and compassion.  

Let’s Go Canaries!  Faith & Family Day is Coming Up! We’re heading to the Sioux Falls Canaries game for a night of faith, fellowship and baseball.  Thanks to our Deacons, we have 100 free tickets available!  Come at 5 PM on June 17th for pre-game fun:  lawn games, hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water for everyone.  Bring your family, bring a friend, and lets fill the stands with joy and community.  

A Summer Picnic in the Park is scheduled for July 26 at Sertoma Park after the worship service. We’re reserved the pavilion so there will be plenty of shade and seating.  This will be a potluck, so bring a favorite dish to share and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of food, fellowship, and fun.

FPC will be sponsoring a church Softball team this season. Games start April 23rd and there are two games every Thursday night at Sherman Park.

Don't forget the Puzzle exchange currently going on at FPC, the Niobrara Joint Canoe Trip with Rapid City Prebyterian church members on May 29-315 and the upcoming Faith and Family Fun Day at the Canaries Game on June 17.
