We are a diverse intergenerational congregation, with two different worship experiences offered each Sunday.

A vibrant Sunday morning at worship at First Presbyterian Church, Sioux Falls.

We believe that God desires to communicate personally with every one of us. In gathered worship, we celebrate God's active presence in our lives, giving thanks for God's transformative love present to us in Jesus Christ. We open ourselves to the Holy Spirit, allowing God to heal and restore us.

Traditional Worship

8:30 am, September - May

Our first service on Sunday morning is traditional, where we praise God in Scripture, sermon, prayers, hymns accompanied by the pipe organ, and special music provided by a full choir.

Contemporary Worship

11:00 am, September - May

Our second service of the morning is contemporary. For us, contemporary is free-flowing and informal with the same Scripture and sermon as the first service. There is more music and those gathered are encouraged to sing along with our Praise Band. This service is more interactive.

Summer Worship

9:30 am, June - August

Our Summer Worship is a blending of our two services, with a lively combination and variety of both traditional hymns and Praise Band songs.

First Presbyterian Church's Chancel wall features a mid-century ceramic mosaic by Palmer Eide (Augustana, Sioux Falls). The mosaic’s symbols depict events in the life of Christ.
