Our mission is to Connect, Serve, and Grow with God and with Others.
Our Vision
First Presbyterian Church shares a vision to be present in the Sioux Falls area as the visible face of Christ. In this vision, the words of our mission statement take on clear direction and added dimension. We connect, serve, and grow with God and others within our congregation so that we may in turn connect, serve, and grow with God and others beyond ourselves, knowing that even as we strive to bear the face of Christ in our relationships with our neighbors, we will find the face of Christ in the very neighbors whom we serve.
As we equip ourselves to engage with people beyond our congregation, our church family will:

To enable us to accomplish our shared mission, all of our members are called to engage individually and corporately in the ministry of the church as they:
- Participate regularly in worship service
- Pray for the church and for God's world
- Give faithful and regular financial support to First Presbyterian Church
- Participate in ministries inside First Presbyterian Church that encourages sustained connection and growth; and
- Serve regularly in ministries outside our church family.
Who We Are
First Presbyterian Church is a community of believers in Jesus Christ. We are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (USA), connected through the Presbytery of South Dakota and the Synod of Lakes and Prairies. We are an active community of 1,000, seeking to learn about God and God’s will for us, as well as reaching out to share what we have learned and experienced together. Our church building includes facilities for worship, education, fellowship, recreation and service.
